เมื่อวันที่ 24 กันยายน 2567 นายเชษฐพันธ์ มากสัมพันธ์ อธิบดีกรมอเมริกาและแปซิฟิกใต้เป็นผู้แทนรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเข้าร่วมประชุม FEALAC Troika Foreign Ministers' Meeting ครั้งที่ 6 ในห้วงการประชุมสมัชชาสหประชาชาติ ครั้งที่ 79 ณ สำนักงานใหญ่องค์การสหประชาชาติ นครนิวยอร์ก โดยที่ประชุมหารือพลวัตและความท้าทายของภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกและลาตินอเมริกา รวมถึงความคืบหน้าในการสรรหาประเทศผู้ประสานงานของทั้งสองภูมิภาค โดยอธิบดีกรมอเมริกาฯ กล่าวย้ำความยึดมั่นของไทยต่อเวทีพหุพาคีและกลไก FEALAC พร้อมแสดงความยินดีกับกรอบความร่วมมือ FEALAC ที่ครบรอบ 25 ปี ในปี 2567

On September 24, 2024, Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, attended the 6th FEALAC Troika Foreign Ministers' Meeting on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs during the 79th United Nations General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York. The meeting discussed the dynamics and challenges in the East Asia and Latin America regions, as well as progress in selecting the regional coordinators for both regions. The Director-General reaffirmed Thailand's commitment to multilateralism and the FEALAC mechanism, while also congratulating FEALAC on its 25th anniversary in 2024.
