เมื่อวันที่ ๖ สิงหาคม ๒๕๖๗ นางสาวบาจรีย์ พึ่งพักตร์ รองอธิบดีกรมอเมริกาและแปซิฟิกใต้ นำคณะนักธุรกิจไทยเข้าพบหารือกับนางสาว Magdalena Benavente ผู้จัดการฝ่ายนำเข้าสินค้าอาหาร แผนกซุเปอร์มาร์เก็ต บริษัท Cencosud Retail S.A. ภายใต้โครงการนำคณะนักธุรกิจไทยเยือนลาตินอเมริกา (Latin Link) ที่กรุงซันติอาโก ชิลี

ในโอกาสนี้ คณะผู้แทนไทยได้รับทราบข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการดำเนินธุรกิจของบริษัทในเครือ Cencosud ผู้นำธุรกิจค้าปลีกในชิลีและอีกหลายประเทศในลาตินอเมริกา และมีโอกาสได้แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับโอกาสการขยายตลาดสินค้าไทยในชิลี รวมทั้งใช้โอกาสนี้ในการสำรวจผลิตภัณฑ์จากประเทศไทยที่จำหน่ายใน Jumbo Supermarket ซึ่งเป็นซุปเปอร์มาร์เก็ตแบรนด์หนึ่งภายใต้การบริหารงานของ Cencosud ที่เน้นการจำหน่ายสินค้าคุณภาพสูงจากทั่วทุกมุมโลก

On 6 August 2024, Ms. Bacharee Puengpak, Deputy Director General, Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, led a Thai business delegation, under Latin Link project 2024, to meet with Ms. Magdalena Benavente, Business Manager, Food Imports, Supermarkets Division, Cencosud Retail S.A., in Santiago, Chile.

During the meeting, the Thai delegation learned of the core business of Cencosud, leader of retail business in Chile and several Latin American countries. Both sides also exchanged views on the prospect of Thai products market expansion in Chile.

The Thai delegation also visited a store of Jumbo supermarket where Thai products are available. Jumbo supermarket is a retail business, owned by Cencosud Retail S.A., providing customers with high quality products from around the world.
