ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือถึงการกระชับความสัมพันธ์ไทย-แคนาดาที่มีพลวัตเพิ่มมากขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง และแนวทางการเสริมสร้างความเป็นหุ้นส่วนระหว่างกัน โดยเฉพาะการเตรียมการสำหรับการประชุม Thailand-Canada Bilateral Consultations ครั้งที่ 3 ซึ่งเป็นวาระที่ไทยจะเป็นเจ้าภาพในปีนี้ แผนการเยือนไทยของคณะ Team Canada Trade Mission รวมถึงการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในสาขาที่ทั้งสองฝ่ายให้ความสำคัญร่วมกัน อาทิ การค้าและการลงทุน การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน สิทธิมนุษยชน ความเท่าเทียมทางเพศ และความมั่นคงทางไซเบอร์

 

นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับพัฒนาการที่สำคัญในภูมิภาคและสถานการณ์ระหว่างประเทศ ตลอดจนความร่วมมือในระดับภูมิภาค โดยเฉพาะในกรอบอาเซียน

 

On 25 February 2025, Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Ms. Ping Kitnikone, Ambassador of Canada to Thailand.

 

Both sides discussed enhancing Thailand-Canada relations, which has witnessed an increasing dynamism, and promoting closer partnership in various areas, particularly the preparation for the 3rd Thailand-Canada Bilateral Consultations, which Thailand will host this year, and the upcoming visit of Team Canada Trade Mission to Thailand. They also discussed promoting cooperation in areas of shared priorities, including trade and investment, sustainable development, human rights, gender equality, and cybersecurity.

 

In addition, both sides exchanged views on key regional and global developments, as well as fostering cooperation at the regional level, particularly in the ASEAN framework.
