On 5 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the reception on the occasion of the 205th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Peru at Hyatt Regency Sukhumvit Bangkok.

The Vice Minister extended congratulations to the Government and the people of Peru, underscoring the positive development of the Thailand-Peru partnership for over 60 years, particularly the exchange of high-level visits and the recent conclusion of negotiations for a comprehensive Thailand-Peru Free Trade Agreement. The Vice Minister also underlined the commitment of both sides to further strengthening their relations, with cultural diplomacy serving as an important tool in driving people-to-people ties, as reflected in the various activities held during celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Thailand-Peru diplomatic relations.
