เอกอัครราชทูตเม็กซิโกประจำประเทศไทยเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ

เมื่อวันที่ 3 เมษายน 2568 นางอิลเซ ลิเลียน เฟร์เรร์ ซิลบา (Ilse Lilián Ferrer Silva) เอกอัครราชทูตเม็กซิโกประจำประเทศไทย เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนางลาลีวรรณ กาญจนจารี ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เพื่อหารือความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยและเม็กซิโก

ในโอกาสนี้ ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีฯ ได้แสดงความขอบคุณข้อความแสดงความเสียใจและความเป็นน้ำหนึ่งใจเดียวของรัฐบาลเม็กซิโกภายหลังเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไหวในประเทศไทยเมื่อวันที่ 28 มีนาคม 2568 รวมทั้งได้แสดงความยินดีกับเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ที่ได้รับการแต่งตั้งเป็นเอกอัครราชทูตหญิงคนแรกของเม็กซิโกประจำประเทศไทย

ทั้งสองฝ่ายเน้นย้ำถึงความมุ่งมั่นที่จะทำงานร่วมกันอย่างใกล้ชิดเพื่อเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือในทุกด้านที่เป็นประโยชน์ร่วมกัน ทั้งด้านการค้าและการลงทุน วัฒนธรรม ความสัมพันธ์ระดับประชาชน และความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ นอกจากนี้ ยังเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของความร่วมมือในการส่งเสริมศักยภาพสตรี สิ่งแวดล้อม และการแลกเปลี่ยนแนวปฏิบัติที่ดีในการรับมือกรณีเกิดแผ่นดินไหวซึ่งเม็กซิโกมีความเชี่ยวชาญ

เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 50 ปีของการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างไทยและเม็กซิโกในปีนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงการเตรียมจัดกิจกรรมเฉลิมฉลอง อาทิ การจัดการประชุม Political Consulations ไทย-เม็กซิโก ครั้งที่ 6 ซึ่งประเทศไทยจะเป็นเจ้าภาพในเดือนมิถุนายน 2568 และกิจกรรมทางวัฒนธรรมที่จะจัดขึ้นตลอดทั้งปี

Ambassador of Mexico to Thailand paid a courtesy call on the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs

On 3 April 2025, H.E. Mrs. Ilse Lilián Ferrer Silva, Ambassador of Mexico to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Lalivan Karnchanachari, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs to discuss bilateal relations.

The Vice Minister expressed appreciation for the Mexican Government’s message of condolences and solidarity following the earthquake that hit Thailand on 28 March 2025, and congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment as the first female Ambassador of Mexico to Thailand.

Both sides reaffirmed commitment to working closely together to further strethen cooperation in all mutually beneficial areas including trade and investment, culture, people-to-people exchanges, and technical cooperation. They also highlighted the importance of cooperation on women empowerment, environmental issues, and the exchange of best practices on earthquake preparedness and monitoring in which Mexico has expertise.

Given that this year marks the 50th anniversary of Thailand-Mexico diplomatic relations, they also discussed on the preparation of conmemorative activities including the 6th Thailand-Mexico Political Consulatation Meeting to be hosted by Thailand in June 2025, and cultural actitivies to be organised throuout this year.
