เกี่ยวกับแนวทางสนับสนุนการดำเนินความร่วมมือเพื่อการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจและการพัฒนาในมิติต่าง ๆ ของไทย

รองอธิบดีฯ ขอบคุณ USTDA สำหรับความเป็นหุ้นส่วนสนับสนุนการพัฒนาในประเทศไทยอย่างต่อเนื่องมายาวนาน โดยปัจจุบันในภาพรวม ฝ่าย USTDA เน้นให้ความสำคัญกับความร่วมมือใน 4 สาขาหลัก ได้แก่ พลังงาน การคมนาคมขนส่ง โครงสร้างพื้นฐานดิจิทัล และแร่ธาตุสำคัญ ทั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงแนวทางส่งเสริมให้กระบวนการความร่วมมือสามารถดำเนินไปอย่างรวดเร็วและมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้นด้วย

USTDA เป็นหน่วยงานของรัฐบาลสหรัฐฯ มีภารกิจส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านเศรษฐกิจและการค้าโดย USTDA มีความร่วมมือที่ใกล้ชิดกับไทยตั้งแต่ปี 2524 และได้เปิดสำนักงานประจำภูมิภาคในไทยเมื่อปี 2562 ครอบคลุมประเทศในอาเซียน

Deputy Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs met with the representative of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA)

On 24 April 2026, Ms. Jaithai Upakarnitikaset, Deputy Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, met with Mr. Kevin Toohers, Regional Manager for Southeast Asia and the Pacific, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss supporting cooperation aimed at promoting economic growth and development in various areas.

The Deputy Director-General thanked the USTDA for the longstanding partnership in supporting development in Thailand. The USTDA is currently prioritizing cooperation in four key sectors, namely energy, transportation, digital infrastructure, and critical minerals. Both sides also discussed ways to further enhance efficiency and accelerate cooperation processes.

The USTDA is an agency of the U.S. Government with a mandate to promote economic and trade cooperation. USTDA has maintained close cooperation with Thailand since 1981 and established its regional office in Thailand in 2019 to oversee engagement with ASEAN countries.
